NAS Apprentices Raise Money for Ty Hafan
NAS are proud to announce that three of its apprentices have raised over £1500 for the charity Ty Hafan during late 2015. Working with Ty Hafan, which provides care and support at their hospice for life-limited children in Wales, the apprentices and their supervisor David Moran discussed their plans and ideas with Natalie Whyatt, the regional fundraising manager for Central Cardiff, East Cardiff and Newport.
In September 2015, Hywel Nash hosted a golfing event at Alice Springs golf course for NAS employees. Following this successful event, Ieuan Norman hosted a movie marathon in Market Hall Cinema in Brynmawr early in October, showing back-to-back viewings of Groundhog Day overnight. To round off the charitable efforts, Thomas Parsons organised an NAS -sponsored paintballing day.
Following the success of the fundraising, Hywel said “we all thoroughly enjoyed raising money and working closely with Ty Hafan and our community and all have plans to fundraise in 2016”.
As apprentices coming close to their final year; Hywel, Ieuan and Tom hope to gain support in their future fundraising efforts from NAS, its employees and the local community.
